TWENTY. FEMALE. GRADUATED. HETERO.
Hey everyone! My name is Dakota, but please call me Ree! Dakota is such a dreadful name! Anyway, I'm twenty years old, and stand a whopping five foot four and just about one hundred and two pounds! Yeah, I know, I'm a monster! My hair reaches the small of my back, and, of course, is blonde. Don't call me dumb, please, I'm actually quite smart. I was valedictorian in high school! My eyes are blue, and seem to be my stand out feature because they are somewhat shockingly light. I'm petite with a touch of curve, but I don't often show it-- it's hard to find me in anything other than breeches and a polo, and when I'm not its jeans and a tee. I can be awfully shy at times, especially when faced with an overly confident individual, but I'm always friendly and usually polite. Whenever I get to know you, though, I can be a fire cracker, a trouble maker, and sometimes a dare devil. I hardly ever lie, in exception to those little white lies that no one cares about unless they know about them, thanks to my mother's technique of pouring tabasco sauce on my tongue whenever I did tell a lie. I'm severely opinionated, and it's hard to change my mind once it's been made up.
Both my parents were horse people. My mother took her home bred Oldenburg stallion Sanctum to the grand prix level in the dressage, and my father was a renowned stallion handler and show jumper. I spent my life surrounded by fancy warmbloods of unusual colors. Oh! That was another thing-- they specialized in colored sport horse. Appaloosas, paints, palominos, buckskins, cremellos, perlinos, they had them all, and I must admit, they were all stunning. I was definitely a daddy's girl growing up, and being the daring little one I was, dressage was much too boring. Jumpers was for me! At sixteen I was given my first very own horse. She was a limited little thing, but a good teacher and did great at everything Level 3 and below. At eighteen, she was sold, and I was given my pride and joy, a lovely cremello mare called Simplicity. At nineteen, I sort of adopted a pain in the butt bay overo gelding named Imperial from his frustrated owner who boarded at my parents barn. Now myself, and my two fabulous jumpers are venturing off on our own!
Registered Name: Simplicity
Barn Name: Bia
Gender: Mare
Age: Six
Color: Cremello
Markings: None
Eyes: Blue
Height: 16.1hh
Experience: Ree backed Bia as a four year old, and is proud to have started her herself. Ree did a ton of in hand showing with the young Bia, and once she was ridden, several small dressage shows before shifting her to her home, the jumper ring. Bia is currently only showing at 3'3 and 3'6, but she over jumps everything by about two feet. High hopes for this one!
Personality: Bia is a powerful puppy dog of a horse. She is incredibly intelligent, with wide set eyes which could bear into your soul. She's immensely sensitive, the moment you shift on her back, her ears are flicking like whips, trying desperately to figure out want you want from her. She's also emotionally sensitive-- if she feels the slightest hint of nerves from her rider, she grows flustered and frazzled and typically quite flighty. But it goes both ways; if you're brave and ready to tackle the course beforehand, Bia will explode over each and every fence with enthusiasm and excitement and most likely try her hardest.
Registered Name: Imperial
Barn Name: Imp
Gender: Gelding
Age: Nine
Color: Bay
Markings: Overo
Eyes: One blue, one brown
Height: 16.3hh
Experience: Imperial hacked his way around the level eight and nine jumpers with ease with the rider before his last-- a big male who was strong enough to tell the gelding exactly what he wanted of him, and he hardly put of with any funny business. But then Imp was bought by a younger rider, a girl this time. She hardly got him over anything, which is why he came to Ree.
Personality: Imp is exactly what his name implies-- a mischevious, bossy, opinionated, pushy little bugger. He's constantly a trouble maker in the barn, known well for his talents of escaping, chewing, ripping, and just being a downright terror. He's extremely impatient on the ground, and a bit of a pill under saddle. He bucks, bites, kicks, and on occasion, when he really isn't enjoying something, he'll throw in a rear or two on top of a spin. This is a shame because the horse practically steps over five foot. Ree is trying her best with him, and will hopefully start making some progress soon.
