16. FEMALE. JUNIOR. BI.
In her mind, Zara was the princess of the world. She was raised in the art of showjumping from a young age, starting in one of Miami's prestigious show barns in the pony hunters on a little grey pony called Toy Soldier. She had always been in the saddle and was one name that got mentioned at every single show for being precisely the one that stops the show in its tracks with her eccentricities. In her spare time, outside of showing, she's a model. She loves to have the spotlight on her and has modeled for horse equipment companies more than once. Most recently Tailored Sportsman decided to have her featured in their spring collection. She's competed in Europe and South America as well, where there she definitely made an impact. Most of her life, she'd been homeschooled while on the road (with her parents who are both professional equestrians) for competitions. Then she made some bad choices, and she got sent away to school to be with mommy and daddy's dearest friend Takuya Sakane.
Zara herself could be the bitchy princess rider, but she tends not to be. She's a little bit of a hipster, enjoying the outdoors a little too much. At times she looks to stir up trouble, but usually passes it off with an innocent smile. She also prefers the company of her two geldings over the company of people. However, she does have relationships with people...Just not ones you can usually see. Zara's favorite color is "rainbow." She also is an avid My Little Pony fan and is a bit of a tomboy despite wearing makeup and being girly. She also has a bit of a power struggle going on with some of the trainers at the facility. In all reality, she acts confident but she really isn't. Normally, she's kinda there. She tries not to stand out but sometimes the fact that she's a top rider makes her stick out like a sore thumb.
As for her horses, she's got....
Intuition
Louie is Takuya's dead stallion's only son. He is a Dutch/Arabian gelding that stands at 16.1 hands and is still young. He's still graying out and is still babyish. He's about six and has recently been started under saddle. He definitely has lots of attributes that remind you he's young. He has plenty of temper tantrums and seems to only want to charge over jumps. He's fast, he's got plenty of scope...But he's sloppy and just wants to run, and run, and run, and run. She purchased him because she had fallen in love with his quirky, hyper personality and his energy matched hers. So far, he has no accomplishments to speak of.
Moonlight Shadow
Everyone knows Moonlight Shadow. They know him as the number four horse in the nation. They know him as the gelding they wished they didn't geld. They know him as that one bulky black horse that a pretty girl posed with for countless pictures in the Chronicle. However, no one knows Vince. He's the cheerful, always happy, over-enthusiastic gelding that seems to cart Zara around when she's upset and match her fire when she's happy. He's been with her since he was seven, and now he's pushing thirteen. He's always been there for her, and she's sworn if he was a boy she wouldn't think twice about marrying him. He's very much a fatherly type, and seems to look over Zara as if she were his own child. The two of them have a strange relationship, but everyone seems to appreciate how well the two bonded. Zara tries to introduce people to Vince, not Moonlight Shadow. At least around Brass Ring, he's Vince. Famous for doing Grand Prixes and Walk-Trot on the same day, and letting himself out of the pasture to find Zara and watch what she's doing. Very much the character, indeed.
